2025 Festival Coordinators

The Living Skies Student Film Festival is a non-profit student-run organization at the University of Regina with a committee made up entirely of passionate film students.

Dani Fink

My name is Dani Fink, pronouns she/her, and I am currently in my third year of film production.

Favourite film genre to watch is fantasy but I’m really interested in making documentaries in my winter semester.

The thing I’m most excited about for the Living Skies Film Festival is seeing all the different styles and genres from different students around the world.

Nicte Recinos-Lane

My name is Nicte Recinos-Lane and my pronouns are she/they. I am currently in my third year of film production.

My favourite thing about film is screenwriting and being able to bring stories to life. I’m most interested in dramatic films but I’m also drawn to experimental as well.

I’m excited to watch short films made by students from all around the world and give them the chance to have their films screened. I’m looking forward to all the events of this year’s festival!

Shamaire Francisco

My name is Shamaire Francisco, or just Mai. I’m in my 3rd year of film production!

I love sci-fi, thriller and action films- If its zombie count me in. I’m a digital artist on the side, im experimenting in ways how i can incorporate artistically into films- currently interested in experimental filmmaking.

Can’t wait to see submissions from all over the world!! I wanna know what other film students are cooking up.

Megan Vadeboncoeur

My name is Megan Vadeboncoeur, and my pronouns are she/her. I’m in my third year of film production.

My favourite film genre is action/comedy, and I really enjoy animated films as well. I like to work with sound on set.

For the Living Skies Festival, I’m really excited to watch all of the films that come in, and see the similarities and differences in production between film students from around the world.

Rebekah Illingworth

Hi I’m Rebekah Illingworth! I am a current 3rd year film production student. I really enjoy discussing and viewing films as well as handling the camera and lighting setups!

I am really excited to see the diverse approaches to film from all across the world. I am also excited to meet new people and develop friendships!
